Designated Model 106026506, the coupler offers some of widest frequency coverage using stripline designs on the market. Stripline designs offer superior low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. The directional coupler lends itself to emerging wireless ultra-broadband designs and many test and measurement applications. These couplers can also be manufactured to meet military specifications. Targeting broadband electronic warfare (EW) systems and complex switch-matrix applications, for example, the company has used its proprietary designs to produce a wide assortment of directional couplers with ultra-high performance over a broadband frequency range.

Model 106026506 further expands the company’s family of directional couplers offering superior performance over the 6.0 to 26.5 GHz frequency range. This coupler delivers 6 dB (±0.5 dB) of nominal coupling (with respect to output) and frequency sensitivity of ±0.50 dB. Directivity is >14 dB. The coupler exhibits insertion loss of <1.6 dB across the full frequency range including coupled power. Maximum VSWR at any port is 1.45, input power rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. Operating temperature is -54°C to +85°C.

The directional coupler is in an extremely compact package which measures only 1.12- x 0.53- x 0.64-inches (2.84- x 1.35- x 1.63-cm) (L x W x H). With the standard 3.5 mm SMA female or optional SMA male connectors the coupler weighs just 1.1 ounces or 31.2 grams.
